The Borough of Tameside is a metropolitan borough of Manchester in the North West. It is named after the River Tame which flows through the area and consists of nine towns of Ashton-under-Lyne, Audenshaw, Denton, Droylsden, Dukinfield, Hyde, Longdendale, Mossley and Stalybridge.
